Hey there,

Having a great time in Thailand so far - met up with Alyssa on this pretty remote island in the far south and we've been sitting around on the beach drinking beer and gorging ourselves on curry for the last couple days. And, on this island we ran into this couple from San Francisco. I was talking to them for a little while, and all of a sudden one of the guys was like "uh, do you know charls?" and it turns out that I had met him with you at the Matt Gonzales party a long long time ago - his name is Miles and he knows you from the place you used to teach yoga on Dolores. The world is a pretty bizarrely small place sometimes.

Tomorrow is the Thai new year, which is celebrated with a big water festival that culminates in a big water fight in the streets, with everyone running around with water balloons and squirt guns. It sounds like it should be a lot of fun, and I'll see if I can get some pictures without having my camera soaked. Today we went to a buddhist temple in the jungle, there were a huge mass of people getting blessings for the
new year, and we climbed the 1263 steps to the top of their mountain to see the (other) temple on top - complete with awesome views. If only it wasn't 95 degrees or so.
